PRINCIPAL CYBERSECURITY ARCHITECT/ENGINEER – start Jan 1, 2026 Contract to Hire
The selected candidate will assist the client’s CISO/Director of Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Operations Manager, and assigned Cybersecurity principal and implementation the ZTA activities and Cyber Risk management (ZTA risk identification and recommendations for mitigation, prioritization, controls, tools, and technology assessment, etc.) The candidate will be responsible for:
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The selected candidate will assist the client’s CISO/Director of Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Operations Manager, and assigned Cybersecurity principal and implementation the ZTA activities and Cyber Risk management (ZTA risk identification and recommendations for mitigation, prioritization, controls, tools, and technology assessment, etc.) The candidate will be responsible for:
- Cybersecurity Leadership advisory on ZTA Implementation Roadmap (Plan, Schedule, and Decks)
- Cybersecurity Program and Architecture Risk Review
- Architect and Engineer Support for ZTA Implementation activities
- Physical or remote office space, phone, reliable internet connection that supports 2 Mbps or higher in order to ensure optimal performance for MS Teams meetings and virtual collaboration.
- A minimum of five (5) years working within a Principal Cybersecurity Architect/Engineer function.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing or evaluating Cybersecurity Architecture functions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United Stated without the need for employer sponsorship.
- be available during regular business operating hours (8:00AM – 5:00PM PST) to execute the above scope of work with minimal oversight support/establish virtual meeting as needed;
- perform an independent gap analysis of existing processes, and work to createrecommendations for process refinement; and or new process execution(s) based on their findings.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience evaluating, recommending, and implementing commercial hardware and software security products to augment and enhance enterprise cybersecurity program.
- Experience with system, device, and application-level hardening and assessing the cybersecurity posture of software, hardware, and firmware.
- Experience with supporting an integrated, dynamic cyber defense and leveraging cybersecurity solutions to deliver cybersecurity operational services.
- Experience researching emerging technology, requisite security requirements, and emerging threats to develop a way forward to meet organizational goals.
- ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISC2 Certified –Governance Risk and Compliance (CGRC) or Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), ISACA Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), CompTIA Certified Advanced Security Practitioner (CASAP+), CompTIA Security+
- B.S computer Science (CS), Management of Information Systems (MIS), Electrical Engineering (EE), or Cybersecurity from an accredited University.
